You couldn’t have asked for a better location for lunch. We’re located on Melbourne Place, a cute laneway that’s just off Russell Street, making our restaurant very easy to access from all corners of the Hoddle Grid. Whether you’re coming in from the Paris End of town or the Spencer Street end, we’re just a short walk or tram ride down.
Unfortunately, many CBD restaurants only open their doors for limited lunchtime seatings on weekdays – and usually on Fridays. But what if you feel like digging into a plate of our famous brown butter hommus to break up your multiple Monday meetings? And what if you want to treat yourself to a mid-week Armenian-inspired meal? The good news is that we’re open all week long from midday to 3pm. Yes, that’s right – from Monday to Friday. And if you feel like returning for round two, we’re open for dinner from 5:30pm every day except Sunday.
Our a la carte menu is available at lunchtime, of course. But if you’d rather let us do the work for you, our Smart Lunch option is the way to go. For only $40 per head, you get to share a selection of small plates including our signature hommus, zucchini flower and twice cooked wings, before gearing up for our chef’s selection of mains to share, served with a side.
We’ve won awards for our wine selection and it’s hard not to see why. Our wine list offers top wines from Australia and from around the world, including classic French drops and quirky labels from Croatia, Georgia and Armenia. Our Armenian-inspired cocktails have also become a huge hit with our regulars. The hardest thing for you to do would be to decide between the The Bubbly Armenian or the Bachik Bachik (we think you should order both just to compare).
